Whether you would like to have a traditional or an inventive ceremony or a bit of both, a ketubah designed specifically for you, or to find graceful ways to honor your guests, I will get to know you and will find a place for these important ritual and personal elements in your service.

My Background

In the Reform Jewish tradition, rabbis have been welcoming interfaith couples for decades. I am happy to perform Jewish ceremonies for interfaith couples as well as lesbian and gay couples.

I was ordained at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 1993 and hold a Master’s Degree in Hebrew Letters and an BA from U.C. Berkeley. I have served as the rabbi at Congregation Beth Shalom in Napa from 2007-2010.

Rabbi Oren created the most beautiful, personal wedding service I could have asked for. The service was tailored to us and our families, with both quiet spirituality and quirky unconvention. A beautiful day to treasure for the rest of our lives.

For our wedding day in Central Park, NYC you were the right rabbi to make our fantastic wedding come true.

Rabbi O did an incredible job with our service. We absolutely loved everything about Rabbi O and the actual ceremony. We can’t thank you enough Rabbi Mazel Tov!

Couples can’t go wrong with Rabbi Postrel. He is versatile, professional, and approachable. He has been great for my mixed religion couples who want to bring symbolism and spiritual meaning to their ceremonies.

Rabbi Oren Postrel is the best! We met multiple times before the wedding which helped us bond and prepare emotionally and spiritually. Oren wrote vows that were both beautiful and meaningful. He is a delightful person and an excellent performer.
